Hi pplz!
Got the problems myself, I think you all can't launch Games through Steam anymore, right? Just disable the Ingame Overlay, all games work again then. That's just a short solution, I hope the coders can fix this asap.
Regards
Braineh / Tom
edit: @ coders
To give you a little help, I get no warning or whatever from Spyware Doctor + AV that there's blocked anything, it just crashes all games I try to launch through Steam as long as the Ingame Overlay is enabled. I disabled all guards in a row, nothing helped until I completely shutdown Spyware Doctor +AV. Hope that helps to localize the problem.![]()

You won't be able to disable behavior guard completely from Intelliguard tools list. Even if you disable behavior guard from Intelliguard, threatfire service will still be running in the background (Run > services.msc)
In order to remove behavior guard, please remove behavior guard option from your PC Tools account from their website.

Hi Braineh,
No, as far as we can see it should be working ok (as seen in the last thread we saw steam problems).
Spyware doctor is probably not giving you any block notifications, since it's probably not actively blocking anything. It could just be a conflict between Steam's anti-cheat gear, and the spyware doctor's anti-malware checks.
Do you see any error messages? You say the games crash, do you get any windows crash errors? What are the messages/error codes they give?
Also, which games do you see this in? Oh, and what version of windows are you running?

I've been having the same problems with SD and Steam so I'll add my $0.02
Running Spyware Doctor v. 7.0.0.508 on Windows 7 x64 (upgraded from Vista x64)
When I first tried playing Steam games after upgrading to Win7 and SD 7 none of my games would start:
Left 4 Dead - wouldn't start
CoD4 - wouldn't start
CoD5 - wouldn't start
Americas Army 3 - wouldn't start
Counter Strike: Source - "Unable to load c:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\user_name\counter-strike source\bin\filesystem_steam.dll"
Disabling Intelliguard doesn't help, enabling "game mode" doesn't help (though admittedly I don't know what game mode does in this version).
The only way I've been able to get steam games to work is by completely shutting down SD.

Exactly the same for me, I also have Win7 x64 with SD 7.0.0.508 and the same games don't start. I also get no popup from Spyware Doctor and no mention of it blocking anything in the history. Here's a list of more games I have installed that dont stat up from steam:
Garrys Mod - "CFileSystem_Steam::Init()failed: failed to find steam interface"
Day Of Defeat:Source - "CFileSystem_Steam::Init()failed: failed to find steam interface"
Portal - "CFileSystem_Steam::Init()failed: failed to find steam interface"
Half-life 2:Episode One,Episode Two,Deathmatch,Lostcoast - "Unable to load c:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\user_name\counter-strike source\bin\filesystem_steam.dll"
NEOTOKYO - "Unable to load c:\program files(x86)\steam\steamapps\user_name\counter-strike source\bin\filesystem_steam.dll"
Assassin's Creed - "Steam Error - Application load error 2:0000065558"
Champions Online - will not start, no error message
Farcry 2 -will not start, no error message
Red Faction: Guerrilla - will not start, no error message
Street Fighter IV - will not start, no error message
and a few more games that will not start and give no error message.
All the games work fine when I dissabled Spyware Doctor.

Yep - I just gave HL2, and Portal a go on my Win 7 64bit system.
And I also saw the "filesystem_steam.dll" errors. So, since the last time, either SD has had a regression, or the Steam guys have changed their side just enough that the previous fix no longer works.
So, there's a problem again.
The good news is that there is a workaround, while this is being fixed.
It worked again for me by turning off BehaviorGuard, in the MyAccount settings (just disabling the guard in the IntelliGuard menu isn't enough).
Save the changes on MyAccount, then back in SD hit the "Smart Update" button, so SD sees the changes. Soon the guard will vanish from the IntelliGuard menu, and the Steam games should work again (they did for me).

Hi Guys,
The problem you are experiencing appears to be related to the TF service from Behavior Guard in SD. The TF guys are aware about this. To resolve this issue as a workaround, you will need to temporarily disable BHG within your subscription (just disabling BHG in Intelli-Guard will not work). If you want to do this, you can do this in MyAccount or you can send me a PM with your license code and I can assist you with this.

Thanks for the workaround achen, i was kinda sad to have to disable my whole SD just to play steam games. It works perfectly now.
Cant wait for the actual fix though

Cheers for the replies, for some reason my email notification doesn't work. Great to see that I'm not the only one with this problem, was goin to despair of this. Another workaround is disabling the steam ingame overlay through the steam settings if you don't want to disable the behaviour guard.

btw, for some reason I can't login/post on the forums from time to time, getting this strange error message then:
any1 ever got that?An error occurred while processing your request. Reference #97.85a432c3.1257690478.0
