I installed PC-Tools Plus on my computer and now I notice my Lexmark X2250 scanner is not working.
Does anyone know why?
Please advise soonest as I need to make picture copies of my grandchildren.

A couple of things to try:
Uninstall the scanner-> then re-installing the scanner with Firewall Plus already installed. It may authorise the executables correctly.
If this doesn't work, try disabling ESV and see if this helps (Settings-> Filtering-> Untick "Enable Enhanced Security Verification"-> Reboot
Have you also tried Shutting down the Firewall to see if this is the causing the problem? (Right click the FW icon in the system tray and Exit).Thanks,

Yes, when I disable the PCT Firewall, I CAN open my scanner when I am using (Ulead) PhotoImpact.
Is there any way I can do something with PCT Firewall so I can use my scanner while using my PhotoImpact? Something I can adjust in PCT?
Or will the use of PCT Firewall prevent me from ever using my scanner while in PhotoImpact?
I looked in the Applications and see:
Application = PhotoImpact
Log = No

Didn't uninstall anything!
Short time ago my son visited and looked in the PCTFW Applications and Advanced and saw that Photoimpact was 'blocked.' He changed, I think, to Allow, and now I believe everything is working okay. Hopefully!
