I've just been reading some of the forum posts and couldn't help noticing the posts about autoprotect not always working. I'm quite worried that my antivirus solution isn't actually working when it says it is.
So just for kicks, I fired up some of the iAntiVirus binaries in gdb, and was amazed that I could actually debug them without doing anything special! And otool shows all the function names. This makes it pretty easy for malicious programmers to mess with your code, find weaknesses, and even patch the registration code.

just to highlight the problem, I spent 5 mins on my lunch break registering my copy...

p.s. I have no intention of releasing a patch or any of that guff. Just proving a point.

No reply from the devs, now I'm really worried. If this was a PC anti-virus solution, the manufacturer would be doing something about it pretty damn quick.
If you want to talk about it, or want a quick fix, PM or email me.
