    Default ad aware will not Install

    Hello: Anyone know why I am getting this error message? I am administrator and sole user of this pc. Using adaware for years never had this happen before. I did just install SP3 dont know if that means anything, please see attachment? Thanks

    Hi tomtickles59,

    Hmm...Since you mentioned that you just installed SP3, I would suggest uninstalling Ad Aware, then downloading Ad Aware's latest version, then temporarily disabling SD's Intelli-Guard if you are using SD, and then reinstalling Ad Aware. Also, I've found that its best to temporarily disable SD's Intelli-Guard when running an Ad Aware manual scan in order to prevent both programs from battling each other during the scan process.

    I have Ad Aware on my XP SP3 system plus SD and have no problems.

    Your ad aware program is not completed the prosess so, please update the ad aware program. And if problem still remain same, then uninstall it from control panel > add/remove program, then reinstall it and delete all junk files, temp, %temp%, prefetch files, then reboot the pc and it might work fine.

    Thanks Guys, Better late replies than never! I wont touch ad-aware anymore with a ten foot pole. I use Malwarebytes now, much, much better and No Glitch's

    Ad-Aware used to be a good program, but now it isn't recommended by hardly anyone.
