When I booted my computer this morning, all sounds had disappeared.
I am running on XP Media Center 2005 SP3
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU @ 2.40 GHz and 3.25 GB RAM
If I look under Device Manager, I can see an exclamation mark next to the Microsoft Winmm WDM Audio compatibility driver. The device status is: A driver (service) for this device has been disabled. An alternate driver may be providing this functionality. (Code 32)
I tried to troubleshoot and nothing works. Ran a registry cleaner using CC Cleaner, still nothing. Any idea? This is a brand new computer and it worked fine until yesterday.

"I am running on XP Media Center 2005 SP3"
Good, but what is the make and model of the computer itself?
You may need to reinstall the sound card/adapter drivers from the CD that came with it or downloadable from the maker's site.Good judgement comes from experience, and experience comes from bad judgement.
Experience is a wonderful thing. It enables you to recognize a mistake when you make it again.
