Hi there,
I'm having some problems installing Spyware Doctor ... and I know it's because of some corrupted files from oldspyware doctor installations.
So, could you please tell me how do I completely remove spyware doctor, without stay ANY file of it on the system?

Normally it sorts itself out by installing 'on top' of the remains of the old one, and then do an uninstall.
I would reccomend to do a good 'cleaning' with CCleaner (free) or similar before re-installing from a fresh download.

I definitely agree on CCleaner! It's good, but it's safe, too. New version just came out: http://www.ccleaner.com/

P.S.: The C stands for Crap. You'll see when you get half a page of ActiveX sh*t to remove!Last edited by Keith Warner; 09-15-2007 at 12:25 PM.

http://malwaresupport.10.forumer.com...ic.php?p=77#77
then have a look for reminents of SD in C:\program files\spyware doctor
if that doesn't you need to edit the registry, please ask for help and backup before editing the registryLast edited by tom.tdw; 09-15-2007 at 03:46 PM.

Hello every one
Here a tip to make sure Spyware Doctor has installed completely form your system.
1. Ensure that you have fully exited the application. To fully exit from Spyware Doctor please right click on the Spyware Doctor icon in the notification area (next to the clock on the Windows taskbar) and select Shutdown from the menu that appears. Please also close any instances of Internet Explorer or other browsers.
2. Perform an uninstall of Spyware Doctor from:
Start > Programs > Spyware Doctor > Uninstall Spyware Doctor
3. **IMPORTANT** Make sure that the Spyware Doctor folder (which by default would be under 'C:\Program Files') no longer exists. If the 'Spyware Doctor' folder still exists, please delete the folder.
4. Select Start>Run
5. Type in regedit and click OK
6. Please locate the following keys and remove them:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PCTools\Spyware Doctor
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PCTools\Spyware Doctor
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall\Spyware Doct
This will ensure that Spyware Doctor has completely uninstalled from your system and you will be able to do a fresh install for Spyware Doctor.
Hope this helps
