Hi,
How to register registry mechanics when a previous expired version of RM already existed on the computer?
I removed the previous expired version few month ago, now I bought yesterday the latest version of RM but I cannot register it, it seems that the previous version leave a trace into the registry and it ask me to process a renewal!!!!!, I cannot enter the new registry code that I received!

Hi Guys,
What is happening is that your old license for Registry Mechanic is still in the windows registry. As such regardless of any subsequent upgrade of versions the same license details are being read, therefore not evoking the program to ask for a license.
Reasoning for this is that customers should be renewing their existing (old) license instead of purchasing a new one to avoid having to re-enter their license code details again.
For the customers that has already purchased a brand new license we have instructions that if followed will allow you to enter the details of your new license.
As the instructions may need to be tailored to your specific incident, please PM me and advise me of your support ticket number so we can followup for you.
Kind Regards,
Eric

re: How to register Registry Mechanics
Hi Joseseven,
In order to resolve this issue, you will need to to contact PC Tools support. You can either send a support ticket via http://www.pctools.com/contact/suppo...stry-mechanic/ or you can call Sales & Support: 1-800-764-5783.
Please note that uninstalling/re-installing Registry Mechanic will not resolve this issue as Registry Mechanic is still registered to the original license code.
With your second post, you are able to continue using Registry Mechanic with the old license code, however, if your old code has expired, you will not be able to upgrade to the latest version of Registry Mechanic and receive the latest Smart Updates.Last edited by AChen; 11-22-2006 at 12:12 AM.
