If I mistype a web site for say www.abcde.com, the Internet Explorer 6 will pop up the message "Internet Explorer could not open the search page", then the browser will automatically redirect to auto.search.msn.com/response.asp?MT=www.abcde.com&search=....... I would like to configure the Windows XP / Internet Explorer 6 to change this situation as following.
1. Change/modify the Popup message "Internet Explorer could not open the search page" to some other words for say"Wrong URL"
2. Change the redirect URL auto.search.msn.com/response.asp to my web site URL for say "www.cdefgh.com".
In addition, if there is any way to work as item 2 without the Popup message is prefect.

Re: change auto.search.msn.com (WXP-Pro)
Always make a backup of your registry before changing it manually.
Start > Run > regedit
Find H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search
Then youŽll see two items in the right hand pane pointing to ie.search.msn.com. By rightclicking the first item on those lines youŽll get the option to change the URL to whatever you liike.
