Recently, I've come across a real good piece of installable s/w that suits all my purpose. During installation,it has modified my registry in such a way that I cannot use it for more than 45 days. I really want to keep this baby with me.
Can anybody tell me how I can continue to use this s/w (not by resetting my PC date/time ) by modifying the windows95 registry. Also, if possible tell me what sort of key values to expect during my search & what sort of new values to enter.

hmmm... I can offer 2 solutions:

1) Buy the software...
2) Delete all registry entries and reinstall the software...

Depending on how the counter is coded, you may not be able to get around the limitation.
Buy it !!

Go with the suggestions given: BUY IT. If you like it that much, it's only right. If it's too expensive, try looking for an alternative with a lower price tag.

One thing that I have found handy to get rid of problem software (not all uninstallers are 100% thorough!) is to use the Emergency Recovery Utility from Microsoft. It backs up all of the key system files. In the event of a total WINDOWS meltdown, it provides a nifty little DOS routine that will automatically restore the last saved copy of those files (Registry, ETC!). Whenever I install something, i always run the ERU to make a fresh backup FIRST. If I have to "rip it out by the roots", I use the uninstaller first, then run the recovery utility from DOS! :)
