For this forum I no longer have Post or the arrows in the top right hand corner. Instead I have some sort of symbols, small red boxes. In the system tray two icon's appeared (desktop contents & no music cd or cd rom). The only thing I did that may have caused this was to install MS Power Toy Collection on a Win 95. Help is needed. Thanks,
Smitty

Smitty; I was under the impression I had OSR2 with this OS. I do not know for sure. I may improve my situation by uninstalling Power Toy. If so what is my best approach. Thanks,
Smitty

I am not running OSR2..Is there a readme.txt file? The second link I provided deals with Win98 uninstall. Did you navigate to that site and see if the information is applicable? You should be safe uninstalling from Add/Remove Programs from Control Panel..Apparently there are some separate elements that have to be manually removed..Without the OS to install and uninstall I really cannot tell you with certainty. Perhaps someone running the specific Windows version can jump in...Will try to be on lookout but experience from a Win95b user would be your best bet..BTW to check if you are running OSR2 check under Control Panel/System/General, for version 4.00.950B), if there, you’re using Operating Service Release 2 of Windows 95.
PS..
<a target="_blank" href=http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Heights/1229/powertoy.htm>Powertoys</a> for uninstall info..
Good Luck

Smitty; Yes I do have the proper code numbers to coincide with the OS2 version. The readme text:
Uninstalling the PowerToys
1.Open the control panel: On the Start Menu, choose Settings->Control Panel.
2.Open "Add/Remove Programs": Find the Control Panel called Add/Remove Programs and double-click it.
3.Remove PowerToys: Select the PowerToy you want to uninstall on the list, then click the button marked "Add/Remove".
I guess it could not be more straightforward. Truly appreciate all your help. Thanks very much!
