Windows Default Display

Windows keeps defaulting to High contrast Black in display properties. I will change it back to normal display but it keeps going back to High Black. How can I change this permanently?

You probably don't have your system set to save settings on exit. Open regedit and navigate to
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer]
In the right pane look for "NoSaveSettings" as a hex value and set it to 00,00,00,00.
