I'm trying to find how to set the width of the "cell" in the IE4 status bar. The cell is the left hand one, where URL's are displayed. I have a client where this cell has narrowed to only display a few characters. Any ideas? (Windows 95)

I don't know if this had anything to do with this message, but I found a way to set the url in the status bar to full show. Not sure if it did anything... would anyone mind testing it out?

First I went to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main

and modified the the "Show_FullURL" string value entry, which was the default value was "no" on my system, and changed it to "yes".

Next, I went to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

And modified the value for "Show_FullURL", which is in hex form, and is defaulted to 0, to 1.

Like I said, not sure if this has anything to the message I replying to with this message, but I thought it was possibly related because there were other keys that could have changed the width and length of the right cell of Internet Explorer.

I found nearly every key in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer were somehow related to the width and length, but the one I would guess that would change it might be the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\PageSetup
key
Look in there a try and mess with them, but of course back up your current registry first. You never can be too safe :)

Hope I helped.
