I am experiencing some minor mouse problems on Windows 98. When I move it... it slows down, especially when over a runnig program window. I checked everything in mouse properties (motion, trails etc.) and graphics hardware acceleration... no luck. I did not have this problem before I installed Windows XP on a second partition (which is funny). Are there any other options I could try to fix this problem?

Thanx in advance.

how fast is your processor, how big is your hard disk and how big is your memory. The only reason I can think of is limited resources on your PC. or probably u can scandisk your hard disk to see if there is any problem with it.

Some mouse apps or possibly even XP, with all of it's new bells and whistles, have the option to slow the pointer when it nears an icon. Unfortunately I am not sure where you should look!
I suppose looking through any third party mouse programs would be first.
Hope this helps.
