I would like to know about how to deal with the "Instal/Unlnstall" area where you can hide any program install in your computer without actually uninstalling the program. It is just that the program installed in your computer will not be shown.

I asume it can be done thru the registry but it can be done with with several tweaking programs. With TweakUI under Control Panel you can remove any installed program but doing that you remove the option to uninstall that program unlelss that program has its own uninstall program.

Remove the DisplayName entry under each program under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Uninstall key.

I don't know your motivation for this nor the context but keep in mind that the programs disappear only from that menu.
It is a god idea to backup things or you may end up having difficulties when uninstalling the program.

Also, if you want to "hide" a program, consider other strategies like restrictions in user profiles, hiding folders and files, removing entries from Start menu, etc. And do not forget that an average user cannoot be cheated so easily.
