Dial-Up Modem HELP

I have a dial-up connection and I try to get on the internet but when I connect at a high speed it doesn't work but when I connect at 26,400 it works fine. My other dial up connection always works fine so I'm wondering what is wrong and if somebody out there can please help me!

Check the modem properties (Device Manager, then Modem). The modem might be configured to "Only connect at..." a certain speed. Uncheck the "Only connect at this speed" box and press OK.
