Hi,
Is there a way to get the version of Microsoft Word from the registry. I can't find a key for it.

Thanks,

im not sure about the registry but what you can do is go into the word folder where it is stored on your hard disk and find the microsoft word icon the you want to
1.right click on it
2.go to propertys
3.scrollover to the version imformation and i think that should solve your problem

Thanks for the reply, but my situation is a bit more complicated. I'm trying to detect the version of Word via VBScript.

Hmmmm. Now that I think about it, I think I can read the file version via VBScript. I'll need to do more research.

Thanks,
Ryan
