upgrade to ME

I had an "expert" upgrade my desktop from Win 98 (orig) to Win ME and it runs more slowly now than it ever did with Win 98. Help?

Before upgrading, did you check to see if your computer met the ME System Requirements? ME is quite a hefty OS, and I hear that there are problems with ME being slow sometimes. I might check to see how much RAM you have, and how many things are loading on startup. See if you can cut back on anything loading that you dont need, to free up resources. Good luck.

I've experienced the same, and I spent a lot of time trying to find a solution. On a clean installation Windows Me works faster than 98, but it seems to become slower, the more applications You install. I went back to WIN98, and I'm sorry to have to suggest that You do the same.
