Installing Active Desktop

I have tried numerous things to do this and hours of scouring on the net...I am trying to Install Active Desktop on a NT 4.0 Workstation running sp5 and IE5.01 SP2.....what do I do? I am sooo fustrated I already installed comcat.dll version 4.71 on them so that I can install IE5 w/o errors but Active Desktop is still not being installed and there is NO options for it under Customized Installation....

have you tried to install IE4 first then IE5?

One thing I always do when I'm frustrated is backtrack and make sure that I have the latest and greatest of the O/S and application with which I'm working. I can't say that this will help, but if I were you, I would download SP 6a for NT and IE5.5 SP2. http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
