Please help if you can. I think I have been infected with a virus. All of a sudden none of my exe's open the application. If I try to open any program on my machine I get and error saying "Cannot find the file 'whatever file name and path' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all reqired libraries are available.
I am able to get most apps open by opening files associated with the app I want to open. The boot up and all apps work fine if I can get around the opening a exe problem. I can't check my registry because I can't open regedit, and I don't know if I would know what to do if I was able to edit it. My system has been working fine for months and this happened while downloading, tahts why I am suspecting some type of virus. Any hel is appreciated.
