i have near about 7 dipertments and the programs respective to the department are stored on node and database is on server. i want to design user profile as per the department. what should i use and how

from the information you have given, I believe you should give each department a group name and assign the users for those departments to the group, and then assign access rights to the program depending on which group is allowed access to the program
