Explorer.Exe - Application error

Hi all --- I have been getting the following error in my laptop.The description of the error is like below,

Explorer.EXE - Application Error

The instruction at "0x77fce69a" referenced memory at "0x00000000".The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

I am getting this error at the startup when the operating system loads. And while opening the browser and if I start any application like AOL, etc.I won't get this error when I open my explorer window..funny haan ..:-)

My O/S is Windows 2000 Advanced server.I did a clean installation.It was going well. I had a Nortan Antivirus evaluation program which I uninstalled after the evaluation period. I think from then the problem started. haan..I also have SP2 installed ..but problem still remains same.

Can any who have experienced the same problem will help me out. Any help will be appreciated.

2000 Advanced Server on a Laptop? That's your problem right there.

restart the computer and hit F8, choose "safe mode
with command prompt". Insert "Win2000 server
set up cd in the drive" and at the dosprompt type"
SFC /scannow. You have to wait about 15-20 minutes for the scanning processing to get done. If you want to know if the scanning process is done by
hitting Ctrl+Alt+Del to see if the scanning still running. While you are at the Task manager , click
new task and type " Explorer.exe". You will see the
window load and everything go back to normal and
you will never get that message again.

Dear Micheal,

Let me have some questions too, hope you don't mind of them and reply them soon:
1)How can I send the EXE files toothers(Like Buck mails to anyone even I don't know them)
2)How can I send these files to others, which no need to click on it even, means for example automatically this file going in to their Autoexec.bat file for them and no need to click on them for running them even.
3) Unfortunately I forgot my internet password for logging to net, can you give some procedure for getting to the password please(in this regard highly appreciate if you guide me in this)
4)Can one Work Station have access to Server files, I mean we have ine LAN Network here and I have one Work station beside of our Server too, now let me know can this work station have access to the server's files, for example suupose one of these Work stations haven't full protocol access to internet, can this Work Station with access to Server change his configure for having full protocol net?
5)Can one Work Station in one network have access to Server for introducing new Username and password?

I know these are many question , but please don't mind of them and let me know answer of them please.
And please be informed I have one file which it's name is Isobuster, and it can break some CD's Locks, if you like I can send it to you.
