Start menu programs?

How come the number of programs in the Start menu programs is not the same in C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs ? I like to sort and delete folders through Windows explorer, but when I open it, I cannot find most of the folders that are listed in Start menu. Do you know what is causing this to happen? Maybe they're hidden or something?

PS. I did not have a problem like that in Windows 98.

Evert software designer seems to think that every username on the comp wants to use their program, so... they put it in the 'All Users' start menu. So navigate to



D:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu



There you go, move them over to your

D:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu folder then delete what you want.
