Does anybody knows how to get rid of those dumb balloon messages which occure when you connect to the internet for example? Now there is even such a balloon message on startup, something about those hidden icons i have in my system tray... I am using Windows XP Prof. Final btw... Or am i the only one who finds these messages annoying?

I don't know if Im helping, but when I click X (close) they do not come up anymore. The only times I see those is when I connect a hardware device to my PC.

Hmmm, it doesn't work this way on my pc. Every time i startup my pc, Windows XP says that there are hidden icons. When i push this X button, the message dissapears, but thew next time i boot my pc, there he is again reminding me about those hidden icons...
That is a new 'feature' in XP. Windows hides infrequently used programs that are in the system try. If you look there should be two little arrows and when you push it, it shows the hidden icons. This is lame and easily resolved. Right click your task bar and choose properties. There should be an option for hiding inactive icons, uncheck it and you will be fine.
