I recently installed XP on a machine at home to test compatability of software/hardware for work. The computer is an AMD 500 w/ 64 meg and a 2 Gig HD. I use Visual Studio to debug for the most part. I am having serious run-time issues with it. I.e. it won't install. I get half-way through the install process and the computer reboots. It is not a pirated copy of Visual studio as I have an MSDN subscription. Any ideas? Thanks

I haven't tried installing VStudio on my Windows XP system but I would assume it should work. The most likely cause of the problem I would guess is due to only having 64Mb, Microsoft recommends a minimum of 128Mb, and considering VStudio can be quite a large program it may be pushing it over the edge. These sort of strange reboot problems can also happen when the RAM is not quite up to speed, as Windows XP will require more control of the memory and can be less forgiving than older OSes of any problems.
