when member of the local 'Users' Group
I recently did a fresh install of Windows 2000 Professional on a system
that had no previous operating system. This is a standalone machine
not connected to a LAN.
Once Windows 2000 was successfully installed without errors, I
downloaded the latest Music Match Jukebox from
www.musicmatch.com. I was logged in as Administrator when I installed
Music MAtch without any problems and it works.
I created a local user, 'friends', as a member of the 'User' group. I
logged off Administratr and logged in using 'friends' userid.
When starting Music Match I get the following messages:
-Program directory "C:\Program Files\MusicMatch\MusicMatch Jukebox "
doesn't exist, create it?
-Music directory for recording doesn't exist, create it?
-the Theme directory/file is not specified in registry. Please
reinstall the software.
-The Theme.ini file was not found. Please copy it over to:
\\mmtheme.ini
-The Theme bitmap was not found \\plrbtns1.bmp
-There was a problem with either the play.dll or mixer.dll
-mmjb.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will
need to restart the program. An error log is being created.
Logging back in as Administrator, Music Match Jukebox continues to work
without errors. I change 'brian' uerid to a member of 'Power Users'
group instad of 'Users' group.
I log in as 'brian' and Music Match works as expected.
Changing 'brian' back to a member of 'Users' group and the above errors
return.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Regards,
k
