I have a handful of Windows NT 4.0 (SP6) which when trying to run Outlook 97 get the error "The program is not registered properly. Run Setup again." I have run setup again, and again. Plus I have totally deleted Office 97 (even deleting references from the Registry). The error continues.

The interesting twists to this is that the people getting this error can log onto a different workstation and Outlook runs just fine and they get their E-Mail. As the Administrator I can log onto the probem PCs and access Outlook and it runs just fine, which means Outlook is working.

I have found nothing in either Technet or on the Internet to help me. Any ideas???

In that case it sounds like something in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER key may not be valid, hence when you logon it works and when they logon to another PC it works.

I would suggest uninstalling Outlook, then doing a search in the registry for anything Outlook related. You may also have a look under the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\8.0\Ou tlook] key and possibly even delete it entirely (after a backup).
