Please help me to remove Recycle Bin icon from desktop in WinXP!
XP have no key NameSpace in Desktop folder and
changing Attributes value in [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}\ShellFolder] have no impact!

Have you tried TweakUI? As far as i could remember there was a setting to remove that icon from your desktop. TweakUI should now also be compatible with Windows XP... Good luck.

run>gpedit.msc
user configuration>administrative templates>desktop

remove recycle bin icon from desktop=enable
