I'm not sure I can offer a suggestion to accomplish exactly what you want, but in the meantime you may find these useful.

If you find yourself resetting folder and file views whenever you open a new folder, you can reduce the problem if you set all of your folders to the same view. Open a folder, change the settings to the ones you normally use. Then select Tools, Folder Options, View and clear the box that says 'Remember each folder's view settings'. Now click the Like Current Folder button. When you make changes in future, they'll be temporary and will be reset to your preferred defaults the next time you open the folder.

Registry Tweak (obviously backup Key before changing)
1. Set up your folders the way you want (auto arrange,view,etc.)
2. Start Regedit
3. Navigate to HCCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Pol icies\Explorer
4. Modify NoSaveSettings value to 1
5. Exit program
