When i start up the comp now it doesn't load stuff like msn messenger and audio galaxy satellite.

ive checked the entrys and they are in the registry under load= and run=.

im running win 98 and i guess my registry is corrupt.

any ideas how to fix this easily?

First, open the program themselves and look through the options for a way to turn off the "tray" or "run at startup" feature.

Then check these locations:

If Win98, go to Start>Run, type msconfig, click the startup tab and check here.

Go to Start>Run, type sysedit. Look over the autoexec.bat for unneccessary lines, click the win.ini and check for programs loading here:
[windows]
load=
run=

Check the Start>Programs>Startup folder for shorcuts.

reghakr, if I read his post correctly, he's not trying to stop them from starting.
His problem is that they are not starting up, even though he has the required entries to start them.
