ok i know this has been brought up plenty of times but im trying to change the key to get my dial up connection screen to save my password but when i used to change it all i had to do was change it to a 1 and it would modify it but now when i try and change it, it brings up a different screen wit like a string code and i don't know what that string code is can yall tell me
i looked on your site cuz you used to have it but i couldn't find it...

Smitty's answer should do the trick. if not try this;

right-click on Internet Explorer on the desktop, choose properties, click the Connections tab, highlight your dial-up connection and choose the Settings button. Input your dial-up password here also.


Or try this information from Microsoft. In Internet Explorer, choose Help&gt;Online Support, click the Searchable Knowledge Base, choose Specify an artice ID number and enter the following numbers:

Dial-Up Networking Password Is Not Saved: Q148925
Save Password Check Box Is Unavailable: Q137361
