cd permission

When trying to save on cd-rw,or cd-r disk, I get the message: "you do not have permission to open this file. See the owner of the file or administrator to obtain permission." using "TIFF" file. What do I do to save on my cd disk?

I have a "hp cd-writer cd4e series"(new), connected to my "hp Pavilion notebook pc" via USB port. Programs used: "CANVAS 6" and "Ulead Photo Express

This may sound dumb but are you trying to burn the files to a cd with a cd burner program? You need to use a cd burner program to save files to cd's.
