Hi all, I have a problem, I reloaded my O/S (Win 98 SE) on my new PC and after doing this, none of my downloaded software packages that use the sound card work! I receive an error message "Player Error". After some playing with Multimedia settings, I can get things to work until I re-start. If I re-boot, eveything is fine and working, If I re-start, no deal and I have to play with settings again to get things to work. Anybodyb have any clues as to what is happening?

Try reinstalling your sound card drivers and or the latest drivers from the manufacturers site for it.

I believe that I received no other responses because in my haste to get an answer, I left out some inportant information like Pc specs, sound card specs and some other things. People in these forums don't like to give out info if they don't have much to go on. Can't say that I blame them. I took your advise and sure enough the driver was either not installed correctly or it was the wrong one. Now everything works great. Thanks for your help.
