restart

on win 98 se and a 40gb h/drive athlon 850 ,when i download or install something then restart ,it gets stuck and i have too stare at scandisk and the pc resets evenually.any suggestions to whats going please thanks allan

Is your hard drive partitioned? If NOT, or if you have a partition sized over 32GB, you may need a patch from MS. There are additional links and information within this article that may be relevant.
