I prefer Internet Explorer over the other web browsers however there is one thing about it that drives me mad. IE creates a Links folder in Favorites. It can be deleted but it just shows up again every time IE is launched. I am sick of deleting the Links folder every time I go to browse the web. I don't want it in with the rest of my bookmarks. Does anyone know how to delete it permanently? Thanks in advance for your help.

xxxoxxx,
If you are running one of the listed OS's in this article it may help.

backup the registry and/or export the following keys:
go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar]
"LinksFolderName"="Links"
Right-click on the LinksFolderName entry, choose modify and wipe out the info in the box.

I haven't tried this, but I believe that if you set the Links folder attributes to Hidden and Read Only it will achieve what you want.
