If anyone can figure this out Iīd be grateful.

I recently upgraded from win2k to XP. It works great, except for one thing. When I click hypertext links in Outbreak errrm Outlook Express and ICQ-messages nothing happens. The links are blue and underlined and have the http:// entry. Still when I click them nothing happens. In ICQ you have the option to right click and choose "open in new window", that doesnīt work either. When I surf all hyperlinks seem to work like they should, ie in windows explorer, netscape 6 and 4.

What gives? A registry entry thatīs screwed up maybe?

That might be it. I didnīt have these entrys. I didnīt have any [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open]
folder at all. I guess itīs a bit of a gamble to edit the registry or do you think it could work?

That's most likely your problem, and it *shouldn't* make the problem any worse. So if you feel confident with the registry then give it a try. But as always make a backup first.

Known problem with OE

Simple fix: Close OE
Open any folder, then go to Tools> Folder Options then scroll down to

(NONE) URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol

Click the Advanced button then Edit button and Browse button to your choice of browser you want such as Netscape or IE and double click on the program icons and click OK on the way back out

Do the same for ( NONE) URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol with Privacy

(NONE) URL:MailTo Protocol if OE pops up in a mail-to link instead of Netscape
