Are you saying you run a triple-boot?

In Windows 2000 Device Manager, choose View>Show Hidden Devices. Do they appear now?

W2000 is a lot better OS than the other two to start with. W2000 also examines all hardware and will install most drivers automatically. It looks at the BIOS first then ignores it(almost).
W98 probably does not recognise some of the newer hardware and as for ME (i dont like it) it seems to have problems with some devices.
Xp is so far the best one for finding all the devices and has the largest drivers files of the three.
