IE 6 Internet Shortcut Icon and changin them

k....installed IE 6...i liked the new BLUE HUE Internet shortcut icons...

i found 4 lil foldersin HKEY CLASSES ROOT where i can change the icon...

i click on favorites in the start menu and they show there...i double click that to expand they show....

i go into Windows Exploroer and they show in the fav folder there to..

i dail up today and flick Favorites in the very top or IE 6 and they show up...

i click the Favorites in the toolbar below..the 1 that has the fav folder image and they show....up for 2 secs then they blink back to the original DARK BLUE with WHITE background that they have always been....

Any1 know where else ihave to edit the " Defaulticon" in regedit to make them no change back there...i fixed it when it happened elsewhere but that was by sheer accident....

Just edit the MIME types by going View -> Folder Options -> Advanced then go to the HTML and Link types and change them.

If you need the icons though separately, I can separate them from the iexplore.exe executable with Microangelo 5 and email them to you as .ico files.

thanks man that helped with all but 1....

scrolled through all the files that used the Internet Shortcut icon..the old 1 and changed it to the new 1...

when i got to the "U" section i spotted 1 that was

Extension "URL"

clicked advanced and hit change icon and selected the new icon hit ok.....but it didnt change.....

Oh i bet i need to reboot for it to show...possibly...welll if it works after reboot...ty...but if it dont im still stuck but it still helped...

im just starting to get into regedit n stuff liek this..very hard...but interesting..
