Irritating Internet Disconnection Msg/Restart

Does anyone know how I can fix the following problem? For two years, most everytime I disconnect from the internet, I get a blue screen (press any key to continue). Sometimes though, when I disconnect, my computer will restart by itself. What causes this problem and how can I fix it?

I cant tell for shure you don't give us enough info. But I think I would try to remove and reinstall my internet connection. But make shure you have all the info to reinstall it.

Here is what the blue screen says:

An exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C7D06433 in VxD ---. This was called from 0028:C7E14C30 in VxD. It may be possible to continue normally.

Bring up control panel go to add and remove programs then to windows components uncheck networking services (depending on your O S win 9x or nt you may be able to remove only dial up networking. highlite the networking service app then click on details to find it) this should remove the app. close and reopen control panel and recheck what you removed this should reinstall the app properly and with luck take care of the problem.
