for Win9x only (not for WinMe - it does not have a dos mode anymore), you can boot to real mode msdos, load a msdos compatible networking client, then use the NET command to start "workstation" and logon to the server. Then run msdos applications. But you need to complete any msdos apps, and need to be able to cleanly unload the networking client before you start Windows using the Win.exe command.
What is your intent - there must be a more Windows compatible solution for this.

Thanx for your help, but it is to difficult for me.
My plan was that if i can have network with my boot up, that if my windows couldn't start anymore (because I blow up something) that i can kopy a program from my networkaddress.
maybe if i am more capable with my computer that i use your information at that time
thanx

"...if my windows couldn't start anymore ..."
then you anyhow have a very serious problem and are faster trying a recovery using Safe Mode, or if no good, next a re-install (or would you really know which file to look for?).
J don't have a machine here to check, but when booting using the boot menu, there used to be an option to start with networking support (or was this with/without cdrom support???) in msdos. so you would only have to logon to your server machine.
PS. do you remember all those dos commands for copying files and moving within the directory structure?
"...use your information at that time ..."
depends really what Windows version you are using. MSDOS realmode support as was used before for starting Win95 is ending. Don't invest too much time in a solution that may break with your next Win version upgrade.

I had one time that Explorer won't start annymore and came with an error and explorer also starts in safe mode
My plan was:
That because I don't have a cd-rw to backup my system, that i backupped my harddisk to the other computer. So that if i can make network connection i can koppy some files to my computer (transfering the files is made easier with a old dos program called Norton Commander looks like Explorer).
