View Full Version : Windows Explorer Startup

When I used to startup Windows Explorer it would always default to "My Computer - C:\". I did a reinstall of Windows on a new hard drive last night. Win 98 with Win Me update. Now when I start Windows Explorer it always defaults to My Documents.

When I open explorer why would I want to see my Docs when I could just open them on the desktop? I want to go straight to C:\ so I can browse. It's a minor annoyance but enough of one that it really bugs me after years of it going to C:\.

Any ideas or Registry edits to change this. I have already fussed with the Folder Options but have yet to fix it.

beatnik,

Create your shortcut with the following Target info:

C:\WINDOWS\EXPLORER.EXE /n,/e
