is there a command that can i use to open regedit.exe to certain location.
for example:
let's say i want to go to "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*".
can i type something like "regedt.exe HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*" under the run command.
and when regedit opens its already at that location.

for Win9x/Me & WinNT - no
for Win2K - no, but remembers last position from previous execution.

the complete syntax definition of regedit.exe can be found (among other places) in the Registry FAQ of the Registry Guide at this site.
