Is there any changes to registry to speed up the shutdown. It seems to take too long right now. Or is this normal?

"...It seems to take too long right now..."
compared to what ?
how many apps and services are active on your machine ? - they all need a clean shutdown.

"...Or is this normal?..."
if your system reaches a clean shutdown - then yes -for you that's normal.

"...Is there any changes to registry to speed up the shutdown..."
there is one setting (but J need to hunt for it, so please tell me if you want it) that kills off tasks that do not respond to the shutdown command within a certain time (standard is approx. 20 to 30 seconds). But lowering this limit is not recommended or killed services may loose your data (eg. DB managers).
It is the same as when you try to kill an app from the task manager but the task does not respond -> you get the chance to wait or kill immediatly.
