VDD Error

Hello all, I am getting an error message saying: System\CurrentControlSet\Control\VirtualDeviceDriv ers. VDD VirtualDeviceDrivers Format In Registry Is Invalid. please choose close to terminate application or chose ignore to continue.
This happens when I open up some certain Applications or insert a C.D. in the drive...HELP what is going on?..what due I have to change?
