Sharing Harddrives

I am a newbie, but I have two harddrives on my computer but when I try to transfer files from one to the other I get sharing violations error. I can copy the files to the other but I can't move them. How do I fix this?

Some files will be locked by the operating system, basically anything under C:\WINNT and various files in the root directory. The only way to move these is outside of the OS, e.g. boot-up using a bootdisk and use Ghost or something similiar to clone the drive.

If it's other files giving you errors, make sure that everything you don't need running is closed and try again.
