Hi. My CD drives appear fine, they show up in the BIOS loading and my dual boot 98 shows them fine. But in Win2K they do not show up. I ended up panicking and clean installing Win2K on the drive but keep getting to the second restart and then I get a blue screen with a Hardware Error message. Says Hardware Error Contact Manufacturer or something to the effect. I have uninstalled everything except MOBO, 256 RAM, CD Writer (main CD Drive), 20 GIG IBM Harddrive. Still getting the error.

Brought the hard drive in to work and loaded Win2K fine on the work system which indicates to me it's not a hard drive error that is causing the blue screen. So I am trying to figure out where the error might lie? Would bad RAM cause a problem like that. Could it be a MOBO error that is causing a hiccup on the Secondary IDE channel (which the CD writer is on)?? Any ideas or advice appreciated.
