I am having a problem with one of my USB ports. You plug something in and it won't detect the hardware. It even shows a little warning symbol in the device profile that its not working properly. My other USB port works fine but not the second one. I have Windows ME. Please give me suggestions! Thanks!

Do you mean one of the two USB ports connected to your motherboard doesn't work?

Yeah!! You plug something into and it doesn't even start the detecting process. I believe their is something wrong with it inside. That port even shows a little yellow icon next to it in the hardware profiles telling me something is not right. So i don't what i should do??

Check your BIOS. On my motherboard (IWILL VD133) OnChip USB was set to no by default. Check that out first.

Hi
For what its worth.
Some devices must be installed in the "root" hub to be detected, I am not sure but I think Logitech Quick Cam may be one. Have you tried swapping the physical devices, ie. plug in alternate ports or even just attaching new device by itself as a test and see if this makes a difference.
Good Luck
