Does any one have problem when installing PCAnywhere 10 onto a Win2000 pro box? I installed it on my computer, and rebooted upon finished. When OS back on, it jumped into 640x480x16 mode and locked the keyboard, mouse. I totally lost control of my PC, even in Safe mode. Finally I plug in a USB mouse so took back control and uninstalled PCAnywhere. Any one has clue on this issue?

I dunno man I used 9.2 just fine on a whole series of Win2k machines. Perhaps their is a patch or something for 10 u need to apply.

I just put pcAnywhere 10 on a Win2000 Pro workstation last week and it worked fine. We needed it for a Proprietary program and the company was able to dial in and do what they had to. There were no glitches.

I haven't had problems either, but sometimes if there is more than one program trying to hook into the video driver this sort of thing can occur (even though it is not supposed to in Win2K). Is there any other remote control software installed on the same box (eg Seagate/Veritas Proxy, Funk Proxy, VNC, Zenworks remote control)?

I had a similar problem with Funk Proxy and a piece of software for the visually impaired called "Zoom Text" which greatly magnifies images/test on screen, and had to uninstall one to get the other working.

I already have this kind of problem with PCAnywhere on W9X and NT, this software is very dependant on the video management.
Several time it could be fixed by updating the video driver.
