Problem with Windows Me Update

Hello,

First excuse my english, I'm a french man :o)
Second, what happen to me ?? Since few days it'i impossible to me to use WIndows Update with my Windows Me system. All the steps are correct but the downloading process never start and after few minutes the system give me an error message !!

What happen ? Is there any solution ????

If you would have gave us the error message, it would have been alot easier:

Thanks a lot for your help, I wil try these issues. For your information my problem is not that I have an error message as usual... I could acces to the windows update page without problem and I coud select all the updates I want.? The problemn start when I try to dowload : the dowloading process never began and I obtain this error message and number :

" Les mises à jour suivantes n'ont pas été installées. Pour réessayer, cliquez sur le bouton Retour ci-dessous.

Lecteur Windows Media 7.1
Impossible de procéder à l'installation en raison d'une erreur inconnue. (-2147012894)"

In this example, in french sorry, it says that the dowloading process failed, unknown error number 2147012894.

So I will try your first advice :o If you have other ones, you're welcome :o
