Win ME hangs

Anyone know why my system hangs when on the net hangs for about 30sec. then ok for another 3-4 mins. then does it again.
using adsl internal modem tex pci running win me 933 256 meg of ram

Hi,
This sounds very similar to what happened to a friend of mine. Check on the manufacturers site for the latest drivers, but the way my friend solved this was to downgrade to 'older' drivers. If you can get hold of some.

You can try to hardcode the internal IP address of your DSL Modem into TCP\IP for your Network Card. If you can let me know what kind of DSL Modem and Network card you have, I may be able to look up that information for you.
