I'm not certain if the suggestions will do what you want, so make sure to export the keys so you can change the setting back.
Go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\OLE
Highlight EnableRemoteConnect in the right-hand pane, and make sure it has a Y as the value.
Or check this:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\
Internet Settings
if you see an entry named EnableAutodial, make sure it has a value of 01 00 00 00
if it doesn't exist, create the Binary value.
